My new song, “Another Day”. I think the title is lame, but I cant really think of a title now, so if you have a better idea, tell me. ;p I was inspired to write this after I watched “Lockdown Women” on National Geographic Channel. People questioning their self worth is such a heartbreaking thing for me.

“Another Day”

She’s been walking around with her head down

Trying to figure out what to do with her life now

She spent 7 years behind bars, drowning in fear

The guilt hasn’t disappeared

Even after all those grueling years

“What’s my worth? What’s my worth?”

She whispered to herself

This time, she’s out of tears

“I had my turn, had my turn

 But I just wasted it”

This time, bitterness starts creeping in

It’s not about who you were but who you can become

Stop staring at your past now, ‘cause those days are gone

Your worth isn’t defined by the things you did and didn’t do

Look at the sun shining just for you

Another day just for you

It’s past 2 in the morning but he’s still drinking

It’s his way of escaping the reality he made for himself

Left his family for another woman

Now left him for another man

Craving for his abandoned life

But his wife has already made up her mind

”What’s this life? What’s this life?”

He uttered to himself

Regretting everything he did

He can’t cry, he can’t cry

Holding everything inside

Convinced he deserves every bit of this

Its not about falling down but rising up

Take your time standing up, but don’t you dare stop

Remember that grace is given in the presence of our mistakes

It’s not about where you’re from but where you’re going

You may have lost your way, but better days are coming
